our mission
We are on a mission to reimagine how communities engage with cultural heritage by making it more fun, interactive, and playful. We believe that by fostering affiliations — networks of people connected by their shared love of culture — we can create vibrant, inclusive communities where cultural heritage is actively lived and enjoyed.
Through empowerment experiences, playful learning, and collaborative problem-solving, we help communities take pride in their cultural heritage and ensure it thrives for future generations. Together, we can co-create a future where cultural heritage is something everyone can experience, celebrate, and reimagine.

inspiring resources
At Chuen Chuen Collective, we're fueled by cutting-edge research and theories that drive our participatory approaches and gamified experiences. Here are the key resources that inform our work:
Henry Jenkins’ "Participatory Culture"
Jenkins' work highlights the importance of active cultural participation in the digital age. His ideas shape our approach to fostering engagement through gamified platforms and collaborative storytelling.
Janet Pillai’s "Cultural Mapping" Theory
Pillai's research emphasizes recognizing and documenting cultural assets within communities. We apply this approach in our game-based initiatives, where participants explore and map cultural heritage, creating a dynamic record of shared cultural identities.
UNESCO Research on Cultural Heritage and Community Engagement
UNESCO's guidelines on safeguarding heritage have greatly influenced our mission to engage communities through interactive experiences, ensuring cultural traditions are preserved, lived, and shared.
These foundational theories shape our vision of a future where cultural heritage is preserved and dynamically experienced through collective participation.
